At midnight last night, Windermere turned on its new home page. Based on months of customer interviews and focus groups, Windermere has entirely revamped the way you search for homes. Users said they wanted searching for homes to be easier. So now the home page of Windermere.com is primarily a search box. Enter the location in which you want to search for houses, click on search and you are taken to a map of that location. You can enter cities (e.g. Poulsbo), major neighborhoods (e.g. Lofall), a road (e.g. Lemolo Shore Drive) or even schools (e.g. North Kitsap High School). No more working through several pages trying to decide which search method to use to do a quick search. But if you do want to search in another way, perhaps by MLS number, you can do that too.
I have a great search engine in my BigWaterProperties.com web site and would love for you to use that. But Windermere.com's new approach is worth checking out. And you can enter to win a $1,000 Home Depot gift certificate just for trying it out*. Now that would be worth the trouble!
